White Ash Sideboard
Last year, a client asked us to create a multi-functional white ash sideboard for her home. The client is a designer, but this was the first piece that she had ever commissioned for herself. We worked with her to be sure all the details were just right, including samples for moldings, edges, bevels, turnings and finishes. She wanted the piece to retain the lightness of its natural color without the golden tones of many finishes, so we finished the sideboard with a water-white lacquer. The door panels are beveled and these panels were matched to reveal the continuous grain of the light sapwood and the brown heartwood.
